Do you need to do serious computer work for school or
your job? JAWS uses speech and outputs to Braille displays to help you
navigate many of today's sophisticated programs such as Word, Excel, Internet
Explorer, Instant Messenger and Word Perfect.
JAWS has a voice synthesizer that starts in with
a talking, user-friendly installation. The languages it handles include
American English, British English, Castillian Spanish, Latin American Spanish,
French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Finnish.
Those complicated web pages are no problem for
JAWS. It reads them like a word-processing document. It can also show link
lists, frames lists and forms mode, as well as read HTML tables.
JAWS also has special features to help you
navigate many of the most popular programs used at work, school and home. In
addition, it can be customized to work with other programs and proprietary
software such as what you often find at work.
You can use most of the popular refreshable
Braille displays with JAWS. It uses computer or Grade 2 Braille.
There are two editions of JAWS -- Standard and
Professional.
